[TIPS] Shoot macro cheaper way

Generally common people think that to shoot macro you need to have macro lens. Here I want to share my setup to shoot macro as some people already know that there are many cheap ways to shoot macro and some really need effort to do it like DIY snort, reverse lens, reverse lens + another lens etc.
Mine was like this, DSLR body + Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II + Raynox DCR-250 that all. Rough cost DSLR body (whatever that you already have), Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II (MYR 300), Raynox DCR-250 (MYR 250). I think for 50mm lens many people already have it, so left only Raynox DCR-250. Hmmm...some people think I miss something right..? yes...a light source. For this I only use built in flash...wait...what? It will be harsh light and maybe not light up the subject properly (people murmuring all over and hope I have good explanation). Sure we need to diffuse the light and I only use an A4 paper. Many people do familiar with combo speedlight + DIY snort right? Speedlight = more cost to buy it and to DIY the snort, some people already give up to try shoot macro while trying to DIY snort (yup it happen to me...)

Now we ready to shoot some macro. First find a lazy insect...no, lazy is not a species for insect...just insect that will not move a lot. For beginner that wanted to try macro shoot, this will be one of factor to make you give up. If you don't have any patient, just go for died insect first. As you know, macro shoot it more better or easier to use manual focus. Just set your 50mm lens to infinity...clip the raynox in front of it and the rest is by moving back and forward till you get focus of the subject. The tricky part was when trying to get focus and holding the A4 paper as diffuse. I hand held the paper because you can easily change the way you want to diffuse the light from your built in flash.
Try to see my shoot with this setup to see whether it worth the effort or not. Thank for reading and the sample picture for raynox and how I hold the DSLR with A4 paper will come later on. Owh...thank you so much for my sifu, Kurt His Masterpiece that teach me a lesson on macro shoot and also let me try his Canon MP-E 65mm 1-5x Macro lens.
Extra info : all my pictures are beeing crop and technical info is the magnification for this kind of setup is 0.4x

Leaf Footed Bug Nymh
rest mode after couple of shoot before this with hostile posing toward me

This is queen weaver ants. Just lucky to find near my house. After it wings remove by itself it become easier to be your macro subject.

Grasshopper - a bit tricky because need to place your A4 diffuse carefully so that it will not touch the plant. Any sudden movement will make the grasshopper hop away~~

Hurmm...I don't know the name for this insect. Anyone expert?
