Ok now I want to tell about the benefit from buying US version. First of all, it is cheaper but a lot of seller like to jack up the price. Second, it got 24Gb SSD and it use for Solid State cache. Generally speaking it to speed up your HDD boot and application speed. As for now if you need more explanation regarding caching, you can read here. Later on I will make my own easy to understand article regarding the caching.
Because of different specification for different country, I do stumble upon one unhappy buyer in Lenovo forum because of this. He/She from same country as me, Malaysia bought the same model but local version. This person frustrated because he/she tought it will have the 24Gb SSD but sadly local version don't have that. In this case I don't know who to blame because the info for the laptop only available at US Lenovo website and for the person side, why he/she didn't check or ask first before buying. That your right to ask before buying.
After I happily own this, I started to get wireless connection problem at some place. It keep disconnecting and the speed keep changing or throttle down. First thing first that we all do, Google the problem. I manage to found lenovo forum that many people having or asking the same question as I did but the solution did not solve for all person that have the problem. Here I will share my finding and understanding.
From what I read in the forum and from some other website, it says the driver itself is the problem. The driver version given default to us give the problem. So I started to find a couple of way to get latest driver for this wireless. At first I use the default software bundle with the laptop to check for update but the problem still there. Second I try to use Driver Booster from iobit. This software also good for us to keep all our driver up to date. I think right now many brand also have their own driver auto update. The problem still persist and I go to Intel website for this wireless model to install the latest driver. From this link, it can run in your browser to automatically to detect the version of your wireless driver (make sure you install java first for your browser to make this work). Done from update driver part for me.
The problem is still there and I found in some website said that the Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software cause the problem because it conflict what in window 8 default wireless manager. This is just the software to manage driver, so no harm to uninstall it...and the problem still there but no more disconnecting happen to me. Only need to request or reload page sometimes.
Finish already from drivers and software part. Now come for configuration part. I get a lot of information and knowledge from intel website. My starting point is from Intel community page that already have couple of person stated about the wireless problem. There are couple of link the support person give that might help to configure and understand about wireless N technology. Let me quote this configuration table from Intel for easy to see taken from here :
These are the default settings for Intel® wireless adapters supporting 802.11n. These recommended settings can be found under the Advanced menu on Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software.

On the wireless router check the following options:

If you are still not getting the expected performance from your wireless products, you can set your wireless router to use channel bonding (40 MHz). Implementing channel bonding on the wireless router allows the router to use two channels at the same time. Channel bonding is also known as mixed mode. For assistance with this setting, contact the router manufacturer.
Maybe some of you don't have access to the router and you need to contact the person in charge to check this. Many default or already old configuration that at that time still didn't cater about the N wireless technology and that why it need to be check. If for speed, it related to the encryption method as stated in the Note above.
There is another page that talk about the channel to choose and some explanation here. it stated that you can try to change to channel 6 if before this your channel is different than this.
At their community page with status Not Answered, there are last person put some configuration and also driver update for window 8.1. I will not try that because I'm afraid this configuration is just for one particular connection to router. Later on when you go to other wireless connection it will be more problem because it look like it not for general configuration. It also differ from what explanation from Intel regarding using WPA encryption.
Last but not least, the problem for me is still there for some places that I connect wirelessly but now it only timeout rarely. I hope this can help you a little bit regarding this wireless problem or give some knowledge to you. In future, I hope it will be resolved maybe by driver update or from windows side or we will get general configuration that will make all work flawlessly. If you have some finding that can resolve the issues, do share it so other can take benefit from it too.
